Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1/4 tsp. ground Szechuan peppercorns 1/4 cup sesame oil 1/4 cup peanut oil 2 tbsp. soy sauce 2 green onions, thinly sliced 1 1/2 tbsp. finely grated orange peel 1 tbsp. minced garlic 2 tsp. peeled, minced fresh ginger 3 pounds chicken wings
Directions
Combine Szechuan pepper, sesame oil, peanut oil, soy sauce, green onions, orange peel, garlic and ginger in a large bowl. Let stand 30 minutes. Add chicken wings to the marinade and stir to coat. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Preheat broiler. Remove chicken from the marinade and place in a single layer in a large, shallow baking dish. Broil chicken 3 inches from the heat, 7 to 8 minutes per side, until cooked through, basting frequently with the marinade. Serve chicken immediately.
Serves 6 to 8.
