Bette Midler's Tasty Potato Salad with Corned Beef

Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 tsp. white vinegar 1 tsp. celery seed 1 tsp. mustard seed 3 large russet potatoes, peeled 2 tsp. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 2 cups finely shredded green cabbage 12 ounce can corned beef, chilled, cubed 1/3 cup sliced green onion 1/3 cup chopped green bell pepper 1/4 cup minced dill pickle 1 cup prepared mayonnaise 1/3 cup sour cream 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper
Directions
Stir together vinegar, celery seed and mustard seed in a small bowl and set aside. Combine potatoes with lightly salted water to cover in a large pot. Heat potatoes to a boil. Cook potatoes 30 to 40 minutes until tender. Drain well and cube. Place warm potato cubes in a large bowl and drizzle vinegar mixture over. Season potatoes with sugar, salt and pepper. Cover and refrigerate until cold.
Before serving, add the cabbage, corned beef, onion, green bell pepper and dill pickle to potatoes. Stir together the mayonnaise and sour cream in a small bowl. Add to potato salad and toss lightly to coat.
Serves 6 to 8.
