Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
4 pounds chicken wings, wing tips removed 1/2 cup butter 2 tbsp. Tabasco sauce 1 cup peanut oil 1 cup vegetable oil 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 4 large carrots, peeled and cut into sticks 4 stalks celery, cut into sticks blue cheese dressing or dip
Directions
Separate each chicken wing at the joint to form 2 pieces. Melt together the butter and Tabasco sauce in a small saucepan over low heat. Transfer the melted butter mixture to a large bowl. Combine the peanut and vegetable oils in a large pot over medium high heat. Heat the oil mixture to about 350 to 400 degrees. Add the chicken wings to the pot in batches. Cook about 10 minutes per batch until chicken is cooked through and golden brown. Drain the chicken on paper towels. When all the chicken wings are cooked transfer them to the bowl with the Tabasco mixture. Toss wings to coat. Add the salt and pepper and toss again. Serve the chicken wings immediately with the carrot sticks, celery sticks and blue cheese dressing or dip.
Serves 6.
