Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 1/2 cups water 2 tbsp. canned papaya nectar 2 tbsp. lemon juice 2 tbsp. cider vinegar 2 1/2 tsp. salt, divided 6 1/2 to 7 pounds pork spareribs cut into 4 sections two 16 ounce bottles prepared barbecue sauce
Directions
Preheat grill and place rack 6 inches from coals. Whisk together water, papaya nectar, lemon juice, vinegar and 1/2 tsp. salt in a small bowl. Sprinkle ribs with remaining 2 tsp. salt. Let ribs stand 15 minutes. Grill ribs 30 minutes, turning frequently and basting every 10 minutes with papaya mixture. Brush ribs with 1 1/2 cups barbecue sauce and grill about 15 minutes, turning frequently, until ribs are cooked through. Heat remaining barbecue sauce in a saucepan and serve with ribs.
Serves 4.
