Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
3 1/2 pounds large prawns, peeled and deveined 4 ounces plain yogurt 1 large onion, peeled and chopped 1 fresh ginger root, cut diagonally into 1/2-inch pieces 3 tablespoons lemon juice 2 green chile peppers, seeded 4 cloves garlic, peeled 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
Directions
Make a deep cut in the back of the prawns to make butterfly prawns.
In a blender or food processor combine yogurt, onion, ginger root, lemon juice, chile peppers, garlic and cayenne pepper; blend well.
Combine yogurt mixture and prawns. Refrigerate 2 hours. Shake off the excess mixture and season with salt and pepper.
Place prawns on a grill and cook on each side for 2 to 3 minutes. Serve hot.
