Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 large eggs 1 cup mashed banana 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup solid vegetable shortening 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/8 tsp. ground cloves 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg 1 cup chopped pecans(optional)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a large cookie sheet. Cream together eggs, bananas, sugar and shortening in a medium bowl. Stir in flour, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and nuts (if using). Drop dough by tablespoonfuls onto the prepared pan. Bake cookies 10 to 12 minutes until edges are set. Cool cookies on pan 5 minutes. Transfer cookies to racks and cool completely. Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature.
Makes about 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
