Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
Beef: 1 1/2 pounds ground beef 1 1/2 cups milk 1 cup quick cooking or old fashioned oats 2 tbsp. grated fresh onion 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. chili powder
Barbecue Sauce: 3 medium onions, peeled and finely chopped 3/4 cup ketchup 3/4 cup water 2 tbsp. white vinegar 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp. chili powder 1/2 tsp. paprika
Directions
For Beef: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine ground beef, milk, oats, grated onion, salt, pepper and chili powder in a large bowl. Mix until well combined and form into 12 to 16 patties. Place patties in a single layer in an ungreased 13x9 inch baking pan. Pour barbecue sauce over beef patties and bake 1 hour. Serve hot.
For Barbecue Sauce: Combine onions, ketchup, water, vinegar, Worcestershire, chili powder and paprika in a medium saucepan. Simmer sauce 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serves 6 to 8.
