Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2/3 cup chili powder 1/2 cup fresh orange juice 1/4 cup olive oil 2 tbsp. fresh lime juice 4 medium cloves garlic, peeled and minced 4 tsp. ground cumin 1 tbsp. finely grated orange peel 1 tbsp. honey 1 tbsp. tomato paste 2 tsp. crumbled dried oregano 1 tsp. salt 6 pounds pork spareribs
Directions
Combine chili powder, orange juice, olive oil, lime juice, garlic, cumin, orange peel, honey, tomato paste, oregano and salt in a medium bowl. Make shallow cuts in a diamond pattern on meaty side of ribs. Place ribs in a single layer in a shallow baking pan. Rub chili mixture all over ribs. Cover and refrigerate 24 to 48 hours.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Turn ribs meat side down and bake 30 minutes. Turn ribs over and cover pan with foil. Bake an additional 45 minutes until ribs are tender and browned. Slice into individual ribs and serve.
Serves 4 to 6.
