Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 cup chopped onion 1 cup chopped green bell pepper 1 tbsp. butter 28 ounce can chopped tomatoes with juices 4 ounce can sliced mushrooms, drained 2 1/4 ounce can sliced black olives, drained 2 tsp. dried oregano 1 pound ground beef, browned and drained 12 ounces spaghetti, cooked and drained 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese, divided 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1/4 cup water 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13x9 inch baking dish. Combine onion, bell pepper and butter in a large skillet. Cook over medium heat until vegetables are tender. Stir in tomatoes with juices, mushrooms, olives, oregano and ground beef. Simmer 10 minutes. Place half of the cooked spaghetti in the bottom of the prepared dish. Top with half of the beef mixture. Sprinkle with 1 cup Cheddar cheese. Repeat layering. Stir together mushroom soup and water in a medium bowl until smooth. Pour over casserole. Sprinkle Parmesan over top. Bake 30 to 35 minutes until casserole is heated through.
Serves 8 to 10.
