Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 1/2 cups soft white breadcrumbs 3 tbsp. chopped green onions 3 ounces grated sharp Cheddar cheese 4 large eggs 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper 1/2 tsp. salt 1 cup half and half
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 10 inch glass pie dish. Sprinkle half of the breadcrumbs, half of the green onions and half of the Cheddar over the bottom of the prepared dish. Break eggs over the breadcrumbs, spacing evenly. Sprinkle eggs with remaining breadcrumbs, green onions and Cheddar. Stir together cayenne, salt and half and half in a small bowl. Pour half and half mixture over eggs. Bake about 20 minutes until eggs are almost set. Serve immediately.
Serves 2 to 4.
