Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
4 pork loin chops, about 6 to 8 ounces each 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. pepper 2 tbsp. butter 1 cup all purpose flour 1/4 cup cider vinegar 6 tbsp. maple syrup 10 tbsp. dark brown sugar
Directions
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Stir together the salt, pepper and flour in a pie plate. Dredge the pork in the flour mixture until coated, shaking off excess. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add pork chops and cook about 3 to 4 minutes per side until browned. Transfer chops to a large baking pan. Bake about 20 minutes until pork reaches 145 degrees. Meanwhile, discard the fat from the skillet. Add cider vinegar to the skillet and heat to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently. Add syrup, reduce heat to low, cover and simmer 10 minutes. Preheat broiler. Remove pork chops from the oven and spoon 2 1/2 tbsp. brown sugar over each. Broil chops about 1 minute until sugar is melted to a dark brown glaze. Divide chops between plates and spoon maple sauce over. Serve immediately.
Serves 4.
