Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
3 tbsp. butter 3 1/2 tbsp. all purpose flour 1/2 tsp. paprika 3 cups milk 1/2 tsp. salt 3/4 pound rotelle pasta, cooked in boiling salted water, drained 1 tbsp. worcestershire sauce 2 3/4 cups sharp cheddar cheese, coarsely shredded 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Butter a 2 quart shallow baking dish. Melt butter in a saucepan and stir in flour and paprika. Cook, whisking constantly, 3 minutes. Whisk in salt and milk and simmer 3 minutes, whisking occasionally. Remove from heat and transfer to a large bowl. Stir in pasta, worcestershire and 2 cups cheddar. Transfer to baking dish. Stir together 3/4 cup cheddar and breadcrumbs and sprinkle over top of casserole. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until golden and bubbly. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
Serves 6 to 8.
