Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 tbsp. vegetable oil 1/2 cup chopped onion 1/2 cup chopped celery 1 tsp. minced garlic 16 ounce can chopped tomatoes 8 ounce can tomato sauce 1 tbsp. worcestershire sauce 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper 1 tsp. cornstarch 2 tbsp. water 8 ocean perch fillets, about 6 ounces each 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly coat a 9x13 inch baking pan with cooking spray. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion, celery and garlic. Cook until onion is tender, stirring frequently, about 8 minutes. Stir in chopped tomatoes, tomato sauce, worcestershire, and bell pepper. and heat to a boil. Stir together cornstarch and water in a small bowl. Stir cornstarch into skillet. Cook, stirring, until sauce is thickened. Place ocean perch fillets into the prepared pan. Season with salt and pepper. Spoon sauce over perch. Cover pan tightly with foil. Bake perch 40 to 45 minutes until cooked through. Serve perch with sauce.
Serves 8.
