8 slices raisin bread 2 medium bananas, peeled and cut into 1/4 inch thick slices 1 cup milk 4 ounces cream cheese, softened 3 large eggs 1/3 cup sugar 3 tbsp. all purpose flour 2 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 9x9 inch baking dish. Place 4 slices of the raisin bread into the bottom of the prepared dish. Sprinkle the banana slices evenly over the bread. Place the remaining 4 slices raisin bread over the bananas. Combine the milk, cream cheese, eggs, sugar, flour and vanilla in a blender. Blend until smooth. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the raisin bread in the baking dish. Let stand 5 minutes. Bake French toast about 40 to 45 minutes until set and top is toasted. Remove the dish from the oven and let the French toast stand 10 minutes. Slice French toast diagonally and serve.
Serves 4.
