Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
4 tsp. chili powder 4 cloves garlic, minced 1 tsp. salt 2 pounds baby back ribs 2 1/2 cups frozen, thawed blackberries 1/2 cup ketchup 1/2 cup honey 1/2 cup peeled, grated fresh ginger 2 tbsp. balsamic vinegar 2 tsp. tabasco sauce
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Stir together chili powder, cumin and salt in a small bowl. Rub spice mixture all over ribs. Place meat-side up in a large baking pan and bake 50 minutes. Combine blackberries, ketchup, honey, ginger, vinegar and tabasco in a blender. Puree mixture until almost smooth. Strain berry mixture into a saucepan, pressing on solids. Cook over medium-high heat until reduced to 1 cup, stirring frequently. Brush ribs with sauce and bake about 10 minutes until ribs are glazed. Cut into individual ribs and serve.
Serves 4.
