Ingredients   (view qty in metric system instead)
4 tsp. chili powder
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp. salt
2 pounds baby back ribs
2 1/2 cups frozen, thawed blackberries
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup peeled, grated fresh ginger
2 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
2 tsp. tabasco sauce

Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Stir together chili powder, cumin and salt in a small bowl. Rub spice mixture all over ribs. Place meat-side up in a large baking pan and bake 50 minutes. Combine blackberries, ketchup, honey, ginger, vinegar and tabasco in a blender. Puree mixture until almost smooth. Strain berry mixture into a saucepan, pressing on solids. Cook over medium-high heat until reduced to 1 cup, stirring frequently. Brush ribs with sauce and bake about 10 minutes until ribs are glazed. Cut into individual ribs and serve.

Serves 4.
