Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
Filling: 1/3 cup sugar 3 tbsp. brown sugar 1 tbsp. all purpose flour 2 tsp. ground cinnamon 2 large granny smith apples, peeled, cored and diced 1/2 cup chopped pitted prunes
Topping: 1/3 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup all purpose flour 1/4 cup old-fashioned oats 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 cup butter, diced, room temperature 1 cup toasted, chopped hazelnuts
Directions
For Filling: Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Butter an 8x8 inch glass baking dish. Mix together sugar, brown sugar, flour and cinnamon in a bowl. Mix in apples and prunes. Let stand 5 minutes. Transfer to prepared dish and bake 20 minutes until bubbly at edges.
For Topping: Mix together brown sugar, flour, oats and salt in a bowl. Rub in butter with your fingertips until moist clumps form. Rub in hazelnuts to blend. Scatter over top of the filling. Bake until topping is golden and juices are bubbly, about 20 minutes. Cool slightly. Serve with ive cream if desired.
Serves 4.
