Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
Topping: 1 1/4 cups old fashioned oats 1 cup + 2 tbsp. brown sugar 3/4 cup all purpose flour 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/4 tsp. salt 3/4 cup butter, room temperature 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
Filling: 4 pounds granny smith apples, cored, peeled and sliced 1 1/2 cups raisins 1/2 cup sugar 1 tbsp. fresh lemon juice 1 tbsp. all purpose flour 3/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Butter a 9x13 glass baking dish.
For topping: Mix together oats, sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt in a bowl. Cut in butter to form coarse crumbs. Mix in walnuts.
For Filling: Combine apples, raisins, sugar, lemon juice, flour and cinnamon in a bowl. Mix well. Transfer to prepared dish and spread topping over. Bake about 55 minutes, until topping is golden brown. Serve warm with ice cream if desired.
Serves 6 to 8.
