Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
3 cups peeled, chopped Granny Smith apples 1 cup seedless raisins 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon 1 cup soft fresh bread crumbs 1 tbsp. melted butter 1/3 cup water
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease a medium baking dish. Stir together brown sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon in a small bowl. Arrange layers of apples and raisins in the prepared dish, sprinkling each layer with some of sugar mixture. Pour water over. Stir together melted butter and bread crumbs and sprinkle over apples. Cover and bake 30 to 40 minutes until apples are tender. Uncover and continue baking until top is browned. Serve warm.
Serves 6.
