Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1/2 cup brandy 1 cup pitted, halved prunes 2/3 cup all purpose flour 1/2 cup brown sugar, divided 6 tbsp. cold diced butter 1/8 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon 2/3 cup old-fashioned oats 2 to 2 1/2 pounds granny smith apples, cored, peeled and sliced
Directions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Bring brandy to a simmer in a small saucepan. Remove pan from heat and stir in prunes. Combine flour, butter, 1/4 cup brown sugar, salt and cinnamon in a food processor. Blend until coarse meal forms. Add oats and pulse to combine. Place apple slices in a 6 cup baking dish. Add prune-brandy mixture and remaining 1/4 cup brown sugar. Toss to combine. Sprinkle oat mixture over apples. Bake about 30 minutes until filling is bubbly and topping is golden brown.
Serves 4.
