Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 package lime, cherry or strawberry gelatin 1 cup hot applesauce, strained 1 cup sugar 3/4 cup chopped walnuts powdered sugar
Directions
Combine applesauce and sugar and simmer until very thick, stirring constantly, about 15 minutes. Stir in gelatin and walnuts. Spread in greased 9x5x2 inch pan and refrigerate. When firm cut into 1 inch cubes and roll in powdered sugar. Let stand overnight at room temperature to dry. Roll again in powdered sugar. Store between sheets of waxed paper in a covered container at room temperature.
Makes approx. 2 dozen candies.
