Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
3 pounds lean ground beef two 15 ounce cans tomato sauce one 15 ounce can chopped tomatoes one 15 ounce can red kidney beans, drained one 15 ounce can Mexican-style chili beans 1 cup prepared taco sauce 1 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 1/2 tsp. crumbled dried basil 4 dashes tabasco sauce 1 large red onion, peeled and chopped 2 large green bell peppers, cored, seeded and chopped
Directions
Brown the ground beef in a large skillet. Drain fat. Transfer beef to a crockpot. Add tomato sauce, chopped tomatoes, kidney beans, chili beans, taco sauce, pepper, garlic powder, basil and tabasco. Stir well. Cover and cook on Low for 2 hours. Add red onion and bell peppers. Cook an additional 45 minutes.
Serves 6 to 8.
