Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 cup whole almonds 2/3 cup sugar 1 large egg white 1/4 tsp. almond extract pinch salt sifted powdered sugar 16 whole almonds
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a food processor grind almonds with sugar until fine. Add egg white, extract and salt and pulse until combined. Roll into 16 balls, about 1 inch diameter. Place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet and flatten slightly. Sprinkle lightly with powdered sugar. Press 1 whole almond into each cookie. Bake 10 minutes or until pale golden. Cool completely. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
Makes 16 cookies.
